Present: Cox, Cusick, Dorgan, Gomez, Heslin, Oberg, Paige, Thompson,

Guests: Geff McCarthy

VP Oberg called the meeting to order at 2007, following a pre-meeting mention

of the stall/spin awareness quiz e-mailed by Cox. Bill will e-mail the answers to the membership

Minutes: The last minutes were e-mailed by Thompson, and a reading was waived.

Treasurer: No report. Statements of activity are posted on the bulletin board in the hangar, and balance information was e-mailed.

Membership: 15 Sr., 1 Jr., 4 openings. Geff McCarthy ís application was

considered by the Board, and recommended to the membership. On motion and second, he was voted into the Club.

Rules & Publicity: No report.

Flight Standards: No report.

Hangar & Grounds: The reservation system sound is extremely quiet on the phone, but works well from the console.

Log Books: Gomez reported that the 75R vacuum pump replacement had not been recorded. He will resolve with the mechanic.

Aircraft9075R: The oil was changed on time, and rudder trim was adjusted.

Various avionics glitches were noted, and a volunteer was requested to fly the

plane to POU for repair purposes. A discussion of interior refurbishment

indicated a cost estimate of approximately $5,700, with a choice of locations

locally or in Maine. The aircraft would be down for 2 weeks in the Maine case, and perhaps the same, but not guaranteed, locally. McCarthy noted that a replacement, improved seat may be available from a firm in Wichita.

Aircraft55144: Expected to be down through Sunday to repair left elevator.

There was a discussion of our response to the FAA regarding their comment on the rudder. Dorgan is investigating prices to replace windshield, since the previously reported crack is still progressing, despite stop drilling.

Old Business: Dorgan noted another Web site that offers both computer and touch-tone access, but charges for it. The background color on our Web site was reported interfering with readable text in some cases.

New Business: Schramm reported through Dorgan that he has not had time to coordinate the Open House event, and recommends we plan it for next spring.

Thompson noted that he has observed several instances of members booking substantial blocks of time during a day, then using only 1 or 2 hours of the block. He noted that some of this may be due to the difficulty of hearing the reservation system on the phone, and suggested that members take special care to confirm only the time they plan to use.

The meeting was adjourned at 2105.

Respectfully submitted,Tom Thompson, Secretary
