3/15/00

Present: Barnewall, Dorgan, Gomez, Heslin, McCarthy, Schramm, Thompson

Pres. Schramm called the meeting to order at 2015.

Minutes: Minutes of the 3/1 meeting were distributed on e-mail, and a reading was waived.

Treasurer: $1,821.71 in checking. Cash flow is light due to lack of flying. A brief discussion of bidding out our next insurance renewal occurred.

Membership: 15 Sr., 2 Jr., 3 openings.

Rules & Publicity: No report

Flight Standards: No report

Hangar & Grounds: NO report from the chairman. Thompson asked Schramm to follow up his request for parking passes for new members.

Log Books: Up to date per Barnewall.

Aircraft9075R: DME still acting up. WE need a volunteer to take it to POU for avionics work, and another to take it to Saratoga for a landing gear swing.

Aircraft55144: #1 VOR needle sticks; tapping the glass releases it. (Don't tap too hard.) VORs seem weak in receiving, the windshield crack is not spreading, and the mechanic is due to install the landing gear part and complete the diagnosis and repair of the one-wing-low condition.

Old Business: A motion to schedule an amendment to the Bylaws for th April 5th meeting was made by Heslin, seconded by Gomez, and passed. The amendment will reduce the number of meetings a prospective member must attend to one, plus a Board interview as is currently done. Heslin noted that not all of the provision passed in September 98 are reflected in the current printed copy of the Bylaws. Thompson agreed to correct them and mail a file to each member.

In accordance with the Bylaws, President Schramm announced, with the concurrence of those present, that the Club will hold one meeting per month on the 1st Wednesday of the month until further notice.

New Business: John Egan has acknowledged having our proposal of fall, 1998, and has agreed to move it up the list of priorities for consideration. The Airport has budgeted $1 million to build T-hangars and other GA amenities in the northwest quadrant of the field. The club has a variety of options to consider, all contingent on cutting an acceptable deal with the Airport. Dorgan & Gomez will meet next week with the Airport architect and review the site concepts and plans for the area. The meeting was adjourned at 2122.

Respectfully submitted,

Tom Thompson, Secretary
